This guide will tell you all you need to know to create a Reflection using Screen Capture.
What is Screen Capture?
Screen capture allows you to record your screen (or a particular window on your screen), your webcam or both, along with audio from your mic and computer.
INFO: The only supported browsers are Chrome and Edge.
Click below to be taken to the platform and guided through an interactive walkthough to create your own screen capture Reflection.
Go to your Reflection Library.
Click New Reflection. Then select Screen Capture.
Add details to your Reflection. Only the Reflection Title is required. The other fields are optional to help you search your reflections etc.
This should immediately open the reflection you have just created.
Click Screen Capture.
Select from the drop-down menus what you would like to record.
Under the video options you can choose to record your desktop screens, the webcam or a combination of both.
Under the audio options you can choose to record your microphone, the system sound or a combination of both.
When you're ready, click Start Recording.
Select from the tabs at the top of the window what you would like to include in the recording.
You may share your entire screen, an application window or a Chrome tab. Click the Share audio box to confirm that you're happy to include the system audio in the recording.
When you're ready, click Share.
If you're using a microphone, Chrome will ask for your permission to use it in the recording.
You're now recording from this point and your screen should look like the image on the right.
When you're finished, click Stop.
A preview of your reflection will play automatically. At this point you can choose to discard what you have recorded by clicking Cancel or you can upload your recording to the platform by clicking Upload.
The tab will need to be left open while the video is uploading.
When the uploading is complete, the server will process the video and make it available to view.
