Create your Objective Template
If you're an Admin or have Authoring access, you can also find access to creating new Objectives through the Authoring tab.
You'll be directed to the Authoring Objective page. Here, you will view any previous Objectives that have been Authored. To create a new one, click the + New button.
Give your new Objective a name:
You'll now have an unpublished template in your library.
Build and Customise your Objective
Settings
Under the Settings tab, you can design your layout with a logo and description, configure settings for the objective itself, add stages of progress, decide who has inherited access, and those who are Admins of the template.
Objective Settings
Under your Objective Settings, you will determine the baseline needs.
Access
Open - Users can create objectives: The users whom with this objective is shared can build new objectives using this template.
Template objectives only: The users cannot build new objectives using this custom template.
Mode
Personal: the user records progress
Reviewed: the user and their reviewer both record progress
Reviewed - Reviewer only: only the reviewer records progress
Reviewed - Owner only: only the user can record process
Due Date Required
None: The user will not have the option to set a due date
Optional: The user can decide whether or not to set a due date
Required: The user is required to choose a due date
Guide Required
None: The user will not have the option to choose a guide
Optional: The user can decide whether or not to choose a guide
Required: The user is required to choose a guide
Stages
Stages define the steps in the Objective. Steps will be completed as progress is made in the Objective. When building a custom objective, you can define each Step here.
Click and type in the box to edit the stage name. If you need to remove a step, click the red bin to the right of the stage.
To add a new stage, click the button.
You may want to choose one of these stages as the "completion stage". Decide that below by clicking on the stage you'd like to complete the objective.
You can uncheck the 'Enable completion stage' if you'd prefer no stage automatically completes to Objective.
Inherited Access
Access can be determined for both Organisation Admins and Pathway Reporters.
No access: Are not automatically reviewers of users' objectives.
Reviewer: Automatically reviewers of users' objectives.
Admins
Admins can edit this template and manage its members.
Once added, you'll see them listed under your Admins section.
Preset Objectives
Preset objectives can be built within a "parent" objective.
To get started with Preset Objectives you can click the + Add Section or + Add Objective button.
A 'Section' is a home for an objective if you want group it together. This is optional.
As an example below, this Admin created a Section called 'Brighton School ECT Objectives", then created three Objectives under this umbrella.
When adding Objectives, you'll follow a simple process of filling out the Objectives information. Notice the Section option, where you can group this objective under a section if you choose. Click Create.
Now, when a user is assigned this Objective, they can view the preset Objectives within the main Objective to work towards. The status of these pre-built objectives will fall under the main objective to be viewed and completed individually.
Membership
Under Membership, you'll see users who are able to see your custom objective after publication.
To add a new member, click the + Add Member button. Type their name and click on it.
You'll then see a success message.
Click the Add entire organisation button to add all users from your Org to this Objective at one time.
Publish
When your Objective is customised to your liking, you can Publish it.
Click the icon next to the unpublished to change its status.
Your Objective will now show as published.
Once published, the members you've chosen for visibility will now be able to see and work towards this Objective.
