Sharing an Insight to a User
You can share insights with other users, or use insights created by other users by sharing them in the same way reflections are shared. Visit the Insights tab under Resources.
Select the insight you'd like to share, click the three dot icon and then Share.
Type in the user's name that you'd like to share with.
You will then see the user under "shared with", confirming the share.
The insight will now appear under the Available to you tab in Insights.
Sharing an Insight to a Group
Similarly to sharing with users, you can also share insights to a Group.
Select the insight you'd like to share, click the three dot icon and Share.
Type and select the group you'd like to share with.
You will then see the Group under "shared with", confirming the share.
Find Shared Insights
You can see Insights that have been shared with under the Available to you tab within Insights.
Your list of 'Available to you' includes Insights from colleagues and templates from IRIS Connect.
Editing an Insight
When another user comments on an insight that you have added to a reflection then that insight will no longer be available for editing; the edit button will be greyed out.
Instead, you can clone the reflection. This will create a copy of the insight in your insights library with the suffix (clone). You will then have the ability to make the changes to the new insight and attach it to a reflection.
Cloning an Insight
Cloned insights will be given the same title as the original but with (clone) after it. Once cloned you can do all the standard actions such as edit, share, use or delete.
After cloning:
From a Group
You can clone an insight to your account from a group. This is useful if you wish to use the insight on your own reflections or want to edit it.
Go to Resources tab on the navigation panel, ensure your on Groups, and open the Group with the insight you want to clone.
Then, click on the Insights options on the left-hand side of the group, under the Resources section.
The available insights will then show. By clicking the Clone button, a copy of the insight will be added to your Insights library.
