What is Group News?
The Groups News feature enables administrators of a Group to send out in-platform news notifications to all Group members. This notification will appear in the members' notifications tab and will allow you to communicate about things like new content and updates.
NOTE: Users are only notified via the Web Platform This feature currently doesn't trigger an email to the user so the user will need to log in to see the notification.
This is how the news notification will look on a member's notification tab.
News History and Retracting
Once you have published your news you are able to retract it under News History on your News page. This will remove the notification from all of the members' notifications tab.
Adding Images
Generate the URL
In order to add images to the news, you will need to first upload your image to your Group. Do this by editing a page in your Group. You can always add it to an unpublished page.
This will then give you the URL of your image that you can add to the news.
Below is how it will look after you've inserted the image onto a page. The bit in red is the URL you need to copy.
