What is AI Insights?
The IRIS Connect feature called Forms has been renamed to Insights.
There are two ways Insights can be used:
- Human response - Insights
- AI response - AI Insights
AI Insights enable users to submit Reflections via the IRIS Connect platform and receive AI-generated responses to the questions and rubrics you create within Insight.
For more information about AI Insights please see our FAQ
AI Process
The AI process first takes a transcription of the video which it then uses for the analysis. This transcript will use the default audio track from the video.
Restricting AI Access
You may wish to restrict AI Insight submissions on any Reflections you share. You can disable Insight mode in your Reflection's' privacy settings. This will mean no Insights will be able to be used on that Reflection.
Below your video, click Privacy
Then change Insight Mode to Disabled, and then click the Update Privacy Settings button

How can I use AI Insights?
There are 3 ways to use AI Insights:
1) Embedding Insights - We have created some Insights and added them to Pathways
2) IRIS Connect created Insights - We have created some standard Insights to use on to analyse your Reflections
3) Customised Insights - You can request to have customised AI Insights created by our Learning Design team - to find out more, please get in touch at: cpd@irisconnect.co.uk.
1) Embedded Insights & Adaptive Pathways
Under your You tab, find your Pathways section and click the + button.
Or, if you expand your Pathways sections, click the Start New button.
You will then see Adaptive Pathways, with incorporate AI and adaptive steps
Within these Pathways you will find steps that involve AI analysis.
2) IRIS Connect created AI Insights
Within your Insights library you will find pre-created Insights to use for AI analysis.
Analysing the Reflection
Find your Insights tab under the Resources section in your navigation panel. Once you have an Insight you'd like to use, click the Analyse button.
Click Analyse a Reflection,
then select a reflection from your library.
Insights History
If you're interested in viewing your history of insights used, visit the Insight history tab.
Here you can view your previously run insights by clicking the Open Insight or Open Reflection button. If your Insight wasn't run by you, you still view information such as: who it was run by, when it was run, which reflection it was attached to and who that reflection is owned by.
