What are Objectives?
Objectives help you set personal or professional goals and track your progress over time. Each objective follows stages defined by you or your organisation, with evidence such as notes, reflections, and files added as you progress. Objectives also work seamlessly within IRIS Connect Pathways, helping you connect your goals to your wider development. Depending on how an objective is customised, you can work on it independently or with a mentor who can add progress on your behalf.

Objectives Overview
Your Objectives are located under the You section in the navigation panel.
Your Objectives will be compiled in a list. An example below:
Click the + button to create a new Objective.
Click the expanding arrow button to open the full Objectives page. Here, you can view all Objectives in progress.
Types of Objectives
There are three types of Objectives on IRIS Connect:
Objectives: Automatically include administrators as Reviewers.
Personal Objectives: Do not have any default Reviewers.
Pre-built Objectives: Created and customised by your organisation for you.
Components of an Objective
Details
The Details section can be used to provide any information relevant to an Objective, such as an explanation of the Objective, why it is being set, or any other helpful context.
Guide (Optional)
As an optional feature, a Guide can be added to an Objective. Guides provide an instructional video and techniques to help users work towards their goal.
Reviewers
Under the Reviewers tab, all members with access to the Objective will be listed. For standard Objectives (not Personal Objectives), inherited reviewers are automatically included. Inherited reviewers are the administrators of your organisation.
To add a new reviewer, use the search bar. Enter the user’s name and select them from the results.
Progress Log
The Progress Log is where you track your progress towards an Objective. As you work towards your goal, you can add evidence which are recorded in the log.
Click Add+ to add evidence, select an option from the list.
While working through your Objective, it will be In Progress. Once you’ve completed your goal, click Complete to mark it as finished.
