The Discovery Kit 7 contains 2 x iPad (camera) devices and 2 x iPod Touch (microphone) devices.
When paired together the kit enables you to capture dual view video with 4 audio channels.
Note: DK 6 and 7's have been retired from sale. We have since released the Discovery Kit 8, which eliminates the iPods as they are no longer updating to newest iOS version.

If you find the app is on the wrong mode, from with the Record app, select Settings, Change Mode then select the mode you want to change to.
How to Pair the devices
TIP: Automatic Re-Pairing
Once the devices have been paired using the pairing manager, they will automatically pair the next time the Record app is opened.
To pair the devices for the first time or if you would like to change the configuration, you will need to use the pairing manager which can be found on the iPads only. Go to Settings - Pairing.
The app will need to be open on each of the devices that you would like to make available for pairing.
Pairing the cameras
With the pairing manager open, tap on Video to see which iPads are available to be paired as cameras. Once successful, the pairing manager will show the name of the paired iPad under Video.
Dual or Single Reflection
When the cameras are paired together, this will create a Dual reflection. If you choose not to pair any cameras, this will create a Single reflection.
Pairing the microphones
Make sure the app is open on the iPods. Open the pairing manager on the corresponding iPad. Tap Audio to see the iPods that can be paired as microphones. For general use, we recommend that the blue iPod is paired to the blue iPad and the green iPod is paired to the green iPad. Once everything is paired correctly, the device name will show underneath Audio in the pairing manager.
Note: The microphones/iPods need to be in microphone mode. See changing mode.
You can also access the pairing manager by tapping the pairing icon in the top right of the screen before beginning the reflection.
This is what the pairing manager looks like on the blue and green iPads when everything is paired as normal:
