INFO: Go Live prerequisites
Go Live requires an additional purchase. If you're unsure whether it's included in your subscription, please check with your IRIS Connect consultant or the support team.
Before using Go Live for the first time, please follow this guide to perform the initial setup.
Before booking a Go Live session make sure you meet the technical requirements.
This guide will tell you all you need to know to use the Go Live feature. However, if you only want to use Discovery Kit, follow either the Use a Discovery Kit 7 or Use a Discovery Kit 8 article.

What is Go Live?
The ‘Go Live’ feature is a solution for observing live video remotely. It allows you to conduct live coaching sessions from anywhere with a wifi connection; making feedback immediate and effective.
How does it work?
The observer is also able to provide live coaching and feedback to the trainer/teacher via the in-ear.
Booking a reflection
On the web platform, visit the Reflections tab > New Reflection > Book A Live Reflection.
You can either:
Search for the person you wish to invite and then click Next.
On the following screen, you are able to select the Discovery Kit you want to use as your camera system and then select the time and date for your recording.
1. If you have multiple kits you can select which kit you wish to book out and use
2. This button allows you to change the date
3. The slider is an easy way to set the start and end time you want to book the device for
4. When you're all set, click Create
You will then be returned to your reflections library and see this message.
TIP: Select an earlier start time than you need
We recommend booking some extra time at the start of your recording so you can set up the devices and test. The app only allows you to access the reflection 5 minutes before the booked start time.
Coachee: Starting a Booked Reflection
You will find the GoLive booking session via the cloud symbol in the bottom left-hand corner.
Tap the symbol and your GoLive session will appear under the Bookings tab. If you cannot see your booked session, please ensure that your device is connected to WiFi and then try again or restart your app.
Tap on the booked session and log in with your username and password.
If the reflection is not green you will need to wait. You are able to access the reflection 5 minutes before the booking. Attach the coaching earpiece over your ear and plug the other end into the port on the cable on the microphone.
Once logged in, you will see a banner telling you you are logged into the reflection.
Once the coach has connected to the lived feed you will see this green banner.
If either you or the coach looses connection from the session it will show the below banner.
Check the internet connection for both the coach and coachee.
If this banner shows, the coach may need to refresh their browser.
When you are ready to begin recording, simply tap the Rec button.
If you need to turn up the coaching audio, use the volume buttons on the microphone (on an iPod these buttons are on the side) or the volume buttons on the camera device if using a Bluetooth microphone.
Starting a Dual Reflection
For a dual recording, providing the cameras are paired then all you will need to do is log in to the booking on the primary device (the one that has been registered) and the paired secondary device will automatically log in and join the same booking.
Coach: Accessing a Booked Reflection
At the specified time of the session, log into your IRIS Connect account.
If you have not yet accepted the invite to the session you will need to accept that.
Go to Reflections then press Start Now to watch live.
NOTE: Accessing the reflection before the start time
You won't be able to access the reflection until 5 minutes before the reflection starts.
If the browser prompts you to access the microphone or you see the 'Waiting for the live steam' message then click on the padlock icon and make sure you allow Camera and Microphone then refresh your browser.
You may have to wait for the user with the devices to set them up and start the session before you can see the live feed.
Coach: Providing Coaching
The coachee will be responsible for starting the recording - as the reflection owner only they can control this, so they always know whether the system is recording or not.
Once the live feed appears on screen you can start coaching by clicking the in-ear coaching button.
In order to make sure that the coaching audio doesn't play out of the camera device and is audible to the whole room it app is designed to only pass the coaching audio to the coachee if there is a paired Bluetooth device.
When you click the Talk button the button changes to Stop. You can then start talking to the coachee and when finished click the stop button.
You can adjust the audio of the coachee using the Speaker Volume slider.
You can add comments to the reflection live in the usual way.
You will be notified when the reflection is coming to the end of the booked time.
And then once the booked time is over the reflection page will close and return you to the reflections library.
