1) Kit Type
a. Check the dispatch note (or your order details) to confirm if your kit is a Record Kit Basic or Basic Pro.
b. Check if a device has been ordered with your kit (Android or iOS). If not, a dedicated device will need to be sourced for the kit, or the kit can be used as a BYOD (bring your own device) kit, where each user provides their own recording device.
The kit type will inform what stickers you use for step 3. The stickers advise the user what to expect in the kit and if they need to provide their own device.

3) Kit Type Sticker
Once you know the kit type (see Step 1), stick the relevant Kit Type sticker onto the space on the Instruction Card (in the lid of the kit) using the stickers pack (also in the lid of the case).
4) Devices *BYOD version kits skip this section*
a. Unbox the device/s and plug the included device cable into the charger in the kit.
b. On the back of the device stick one of the small blue serial number stickers from the stickers pack.
c. Then put the included device cover on the device/s.
5) Mic Pairing
Pair the mic to the device as follows:
- Press and hold the button on the mic to turn it on. It should be rapidly flashing blue.
- On the device, use the Bluetooth menu/settings to pair to IRIS Connect Bluetooth Mic.
- If successful the mic will now flash blue intermittently and the device should say Connected.
Note - Step 5 will need completing every time new/different devices are used with the kit.

Additional Information
Pro Version Kits
You can pair two mics to one device to capture additional mic audio. (e.g. on a DualView you will have 2 blue mics paired to the blue device and 2 to the green).
For a Basic or Standard kit (with one device) label the second mic with the blue mic sticker
For a DualView kit label the third mic with the blue sticker and the forth with a blue sticker and pair to the blue/green recording device accordingly.
Follow the pairing processes above for the additional mics.
Stickers and Labelling
- Serial Number stickers: Labelling the items in the kit with the kits serial number helps prevent items being mixed up between kits and maintain Bluetooth pairing.
- Green and Blue Stickers: The green and blue colour coding is to make it clear in kits with multiple devices which mics are paired to which devices.
Storing the Devices in the kit
There are sections in the lid for devices to be stored in; the smaller front pockets for phones and the larger pocket behind for tablets/iPads. Device charging cables can be plugged into the charging plug/hub.
Storing/Carrying the Floor Tripod
If your kit comes with a floor tripod, this can either be carried separately or you can use the bungy cords (attached to the bottom of the case) to attach it to the case.
